Liz Waters, a mother of four, and a relative of the founder, took over the company in 2005 and developed a new range of high quality, effective cleaning products that are environmentally friendly.

Today Malone’s has a range of ten products suitable for all surfaces in the home. In addition to the traditional lavender wax polishes , the range now includes Natural Wooden Floor Cleaners, for all types of wooden floors and surfaces, a Natural Antibacterial All Surface Cleaner, for all around the home, Malones Leather Care Polish Spray, a first to market cleaner for leather furniture, as well as leather shoes and bags. And finally Malones Window and Tile Cleaners.

Recently Malones has become a corporate sponsor of the Asthma Society of Ireland. Because Malones products use all natural ingredients, they are ideal for those with Asthma who find that traditional cleaning products aggravate their condition.

I wanted to create a range of products that were safe to use around my children and my home, smelled gorgeous, but really worked and were affordable.

I believe today’s consumers want good quality cleaning products that are affordable too. Malone’s extensive product range is price competitive with the multinational brands and available in all leading supermarkets nationwide.

People have spent a lot of money on their homes, new kitchens, granite worktops, hardwood floors, etc. They need to be sure that the cleaning products they use will not damage these delicate surfaces. Many of the cleaning products on the market today are dulling rather than enhancing these surfaces.

Previously natural products were very much niche products, exclusive to health food shops at a premium price. I wanted to make a difference by making Malone’s affordable to everyone and price competitive with the major international brands.

Natural does not have to be more expensive.

I’m delighted with the direction the Malones brand is taking. It is very rewarding to see an Irish brand on the cleaning shelves that ticks all the boxes – safe, natural, affordable, and it works.
